Beyond the Blue

I've been sitting on my bed, staring at my computer screen for a while now, thinking of how I should start this post. I guess I'll start by saying hellllloooooo!

It's been a good past couple of days with friends. Yesterday, we all went to a Lush shop, and it was phenomenal. I'm sure you can already see a new glow about my skin from using their products.

I love the color pallet of this outfit because I normally stick to dark colors, but this outfit has a lot of nice color! The scarf ads a huge pop of color and the baby pink tank top is a nice, soft touch. I wore this scarf on my head in this post, so it's also really versatile.

A Little Update

Hello friends! It's been a busy past couple of days, and I haven't blogged, so I wanted to give you all a little update. The past two weekends, I've been at graduations. I figured I'd give a little run down of the outfits I wore. I didn't take any regular full shots, so today's post will look a little different than usual.

In the picture above, Lydia and I went Megan's sister, Chelsea's, graduation. This was a week ago, so my hair has since then faded.

Sweater: Old Navy
Top: TJ Max
Trouser: Forever 21
Heels (not pictured): Goodwill

Last Thursday, my cousin, Kelly, and I went to Grimey's in Nashville to see The 1975 perform an acoustic set and sign CDs. No picture of my outfit, but I did want to show you a picture of the lead singer, Matt Healy, who is ridiculously talented and cute.

Ahhhhh!
The concert was beautiful, and I got to briefly meet each member after and shake their hands. They were so sweet. It was a surreal experience!

Friday, I went to Chattanooga with Lydia and Katelyn to see Penny & Sparrow in concert, which was phenomenal. Those guys are insanely talented. Check them out here. Also, this video of theirs is stunning.

Yesterday was my town's high school graduation, which was a special day for me because so many of my dear friends walked across the stage. You all probably recognize Emily. Look at her being so cute in her cap and gown!

Sweater: Old Navy
Shirt: Goodwill
Skirt: Forever 21
Laceless Boots (not pictured): Forever 21

Well, now you're updated on what I've been doing with my life-- because I know you all care so so much! We'll be back to our regular blogging this week. Thanks for reading!

Basic

Another day at home getting things done. I'm feeling quite good about it.

I'm doing bit of squinting in these pictures aren't I? It was bright out today.

Julia and I have moments where we aren't good at communicating. This was one of those moments.

Sweatshirt: $3 Walmart special. I'm pretty sure I got it in the kids section.
Shorts: Old Navy
Converse: Journey's

The last two posts have been pretty basic, and this one, especially, has been brief. My days have been pretty simple, and I don't have much to share with ya'll. I will say that I finished up 2 Timothy yesterday, which has been a great blessing to read and study. Definitely give it a read.

She Way Out

Hello, friends! Today was really great for me because I woke up, took a shower, and just did my business at home all day. It was a nice, proper introduction to my summer.

I've been listening to The 1975 like craaaazy lately, so that's why I'm dressed in black on my first, official day of summer break. The way I dress is heavily inspired by the music I listen to and movies I watch. Speaking of The 1975, my cousin and I are planning on going to their free, acoustic concert at Grimey's in Nashville this Thursday night, and I could not be more pumped about it!!! That means I'll be wearing black for a little while longer, I guess.

Shirt: a gift from my dear friend, Megan, for my birthday last year
Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: Goodwill
Nail Polish: Iced Queen by ColorShow from Maybelline

Happy Monday! Have a great week, and I'll see you soon.

Frenchie

Soooooo... the last time I posted, I said I would have a big surprise on Friday, and then I didn't post for a week and three-ish days. Classic. WELL, you may or may not have noticed that I have pink hair now, which was the surprise.

It's been a week since I got it done, and I absolutely love it. I've gotten a lot of stares, some rude comments from the elderly, and few "I thought that was a wig." remarks. It's been a fun time. Besides, pink hair, I've had a pretty busy week with school. I'm finally done! The feeling of being done with my first year of college is definitely a wild one. It's going to be a gooooood summer, ya'll.

I'll be better about posting now that I am FREE. Thanks for reading and keeping up with me!

Last Friday, I took Julia and Lauren out of school for lunch at a local restaurant with my and Julia's cousin Holly. We had a blaaast. Before I let them eat, though, I made them take pictures for this here blog. It started raining, though, so our little shoot was cut short, and we were left with these awkward shots down below. What a shame.

Friday's post will have a big surprise!!!!!!!

Spring Awakening

Hello, friends! I've had a super fun and busy weekend, which is why I haven't posted since Wednesday. I actually took pictures on Friday, but I went out of town after and wasn't home until late, so you'll see those pictures on Tuesday.

This Saturday, the college I attend put on this even called Spring Awakening, which is basically a music festival where local bands and Nashville based bands came and played music all day long. It was fantastic! My dear friend, Lauren, is in a band called Lakeside, and they are fabulous. Lakeside kicked off the festival.

Aren't they SO cute?!
Check out their Instagram and Twitter and YouTube channel.

I'd like you to meet Emily McCormick. She's been supportive of this blog since day one, and I'm so thankful for that. She's also been very avid about expressing her desire to be on this blog of mine, so here you are Emily! Look at how fabulous she is! Emily is one of the most talented people I know. Watch out for her because she'll be on Broadway. I'm not even kidding; she's insane. Every time she walks onto the stage I cry because she's so incredibly talented.

Here Cassidy, Emily, and I are at Spring Awakening.

It was a rainy, cloudy Sunday-- my favorite kind of Sunday because it's prime napping weather.
 It's been a good weekend!

Jean shirt and blank t-shirt and loafers: Goodwill
Leggings: Old Navy

This black pocket tee was originally short sleeved, but I cut it into a tank top and distressed the neck line and hem. I was in one of my LOL moods-- you've heard me blog about that movie, so you know.

Have a good week! Summer break is almost here!
