Pusher Love Girl

Today was incredibly beautiful and warm, but I had a Chem Lab, and we aren't allowed to wear shorts, so I put on my trusty ripped jeans. I always feel confident when I wear these, especially paired with a concert t-shirt. It's my go-to lazy day outfit.
I don't think these shoes have made an appearance on the blog before, which is surprising. I call them my old man loafers because I've only seen older men wear shoes like these. Classic. I got them from Goodwill nearly two years ago, and they quickly became like a trademark of mine because I was always wearing them. They're backless, so I can just slip them on right before I leave.  Since it's warming up, I've been wearing them more often. I'm sure this isn't the last you'll be seeing of them.

Back in November, I got to go see Justin Timberlake in concert with Julia and our cousin Kelly. It was so so fun. He has such amazing talent, and there some really special moments during the concert, which is impressive to me because I think it's difficult to create intimate moments in huge arenas full of people.

I've got some good posts planned for this week, so keep watch for those! Enjoy the sunshine this week if you're lucky enough to get some. If not, find blessings in the rain and clouds.
Wow. I did not intend for such a cheesy closer. So sorry.

Bradshaw

This outfit makes me feel like I've walked right off the set of The Carrie Diaries with Anna Sophia Robb by my side. What a dream come true that would be!

Half brooding, half squinting in the super bright sun.

Sorry for the awful lighting, but this was the only time I could take pictures, and I wanted to get a post published since I haven't in a nearly a week. Sorry about that as well!

Sweater and skirt: Goodwill
Shoes: Payless

This outfit probably cost me less than twenty dollars. What a steal! Am I right?

Here's to a great week, friends!

PTX

It's Monday again, everybody! This Monday is a very special one for me and Lydia because it is the season finale of Teen Wolf. I don't have proper words to describe how excited I am. Also, though, I am a little sad because it has been such a wonderful Monday tradition and something to look forward to. This season has been absolutely crazy-- who knows how they're going to end it!

So, I made a big to do about it being spring in my last post, and this outfit is not very spring-y. I am sorry for that. It was more on the chilly side, so I opted for a very fall-colored cardigan.

I want to take a brief moment to talk about something very special to me. Last Saturday night, Julia, my sister, and I got to go see Pentatonix in concert at the Ryman Auditorium. We've been obsessed with them since their first Sing Off performance back in 2011, so being in the audience of one of their concerts was unreal for us.

One of our friends, Lauren, went to the concert as well and took some good pictures which I have used in this post.

These five musicians are mind-blowingly talented and so musically intelligent. If you haven't listened to them, I hiiiiiighly suggest you take some time right now to do so.

Watch my favorite Sing Off performances here, here, and here.
Watch some of my favorite Youtube covers here, here, and here.
Watch/ Listen to some of my favorites from their albums here, here, and here.

Also, look at how cute Scott is. Wow I love him.

Anyway, back to the clothes.

Days are Gone

Well, hello my friends! I am sorry I haven't kept up with this as much as Sarah has. I don't really have any good excuses other than school and life. I took these pictures at home over spring break and was really struggling with my body image, but sometimes you just gotta put on some makeup and a dress on and feel girly, ya know?

While I am so happy the weather is turning nice I will miss my flannels and dark colors. This spring season I am excited about wearing dresses (duh) and trying some new trends.

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Old Navy
Flannel: Sarah's hand-me-down
Socks: Mom's
Shoes: Megan's hand-me-down

Thanks for reading! I hope you have a nice weekend!

Spring Fever

Happy first day of spring! My friend Katelyn got me this shirt for Christmas, and when I wore it to school for the first time, a couple of my guy friends really liked it and asked to borrow it. When one of the boys, Reid, wore it, he got more compliments in it than I did. Classic.

I thought this shot was fun and interesting. Some cars were driving by, and I was getting a little bashful.

Shirt: gift from Katelyn
Jeans: TJ Max
Moccasins: Urban Outfitters

I know you probably can't tell, but I'm wearing the lipstick Pink Pout by Revlon, which I talked about here.

To close, I'll leave you with this playlist of songs I'm very much enjoying.

We Woke Up Like This

Lydia and I managed to get one blog post in before Spring break ended. We are such pros.
It's been a good week with good, warm weather, and I hate to see it go.

We're on the lookout for some cuties.

Lydia

I got a haircut!! I am trying to grow my hair out but I wanted a change SOOOO bangs!! I am really happy with them.

I was dancing in this pic above, but Megan managed to make it not look lame (or at least I hope).

Striped Shirt: Goodwill
Overalls: Goodwill

Sarah

Such joy.

My lipstick here is Revlon's Color Burst Matte Balm in the color  Unapologetic. I loOove it.

I used to love this simple white shirt, but it fell under my radar last summer. I'm back to being in love with it again, and it's a great piece to have.

Hat: thrift store
Shirt: Goodwill
Pants: Forever 21
Embellished, pointed toe flats: Goodwill

You would not believe how difficult it was to get a good shot of us together. Our dearest friend, Meggie, tried her very hardest, though. These are some sweet shots of us being very much ourselves.

To close, I want to share with you an OBSESSION that Lydia and I have discovered this weekend
Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying, of one of my favorite music groups, Pentatonix, run a Youtube channel called Superfruit, and their latest upload is a cover of Beyonce's entire album. It is the best thing I have ever heard in my entire life. This is all I want to listen to for the rest of my life.
Give it a listen:

Spring Break

I'm officially on spring break! It was so warm walking out of class today that I traded my sweater for a T-shirt and jeans.
I spent some time with Lauren and Julia in the park reading and just having some spring break fun.

I got this t-shirt when Lydia, Megan, and I saw Mumford & Sons in Portland, Oregon last summer. The Mystery Jets opened for them and were absolutely incredible.

Concert t-shirt
Denim shirt: thrift store in Florida
Jeans: Old Navy. Distressed them myself. Can you tell?
Head scarf: Forever 21

Happy weekend!

Pink on Black on Black

Hey everyone! It's me again. Today was sort of a weird day because when I got home from my morning classes, my two cousins, Shelby and Elijah, were crashed on my couch playing Beatles Rockband with my sister, Julia. It seems like everyone is on spring break except for me! I still have a rough draft to turn in, three hours of tutoring to get through, and a nine o' clock class on Friday before I can finally take my break.

This is an outfit I wear a lot a lot. I think many will agree with me when I say that wearing all black is very empowering.
The interesting shape of the sweater adds nice contrast to the shape of the skinny jeans.
Apparently, I'm in the military according to the picture above. Not sure when that happened.
When I wear this outfit, I like to change up my lipstick color. Here, I'm wearing a bright shade of pink from Forever 21, and it stays on ridiculously well.

Floral headscarf: Goodwill
Sweater: SheInside
Black jeans, Laceless boots: Forever 21

The week is halfway through. I hope it's been good for you so far!

New Favorites.

Since February posts were so few and far between, I've made it my personal goal to do more posting on here this month. So here I am. March 3 and already two posts.
I thought I would do a post on my current favorite products because I've recently picked up a few makeup-y items that I'm really enjoying, and I wanted to share them with you.

First is the Master Kajal Khol Liner from Maybelline New York. I have never used an eyeliner that was easier to put on, and it can be used for different looks. I've used it as classic eyeliner to line my eyes (believe it or not) along with my eyeshadow and whatnot, but I've also used in to create a smudgy, smokey eye, kind of like the Olsens. This product is extremely good at the later look because it's made to be really creamy, so it smears really well. To achieve more of a
sunken in look, I'll occasionally put a tiny lip balm on my finger and smear that in with the liner as well.
picture above from www.louteasdale.com

Second we have Maybelline New York Color Show nail polish in Iced Queen. This nail polish stays on chip free for days. I painted my nails with this a week ago, and I'm just now needing to repaint them. Also, this color is super fun and pretty.

Next is Rimmel London's ScandalEyes Eye 24 Hour, Waterproof Shadow Stick/Crayon in Blamed Blue. Generally, when they say 24h you know it's an exaggeration, but with this product, I'm not sure it is. It goes on smoothly, stays put literally all day, and the color is beautiful. I pair this with my Kajal liner, and blend the two together for a bold eye makeup look.

I was running low on my hydrating Nivea chapstick, which is the blue one, and I was feeling daring, so I tried the Milk and Honey version, and I really love it. I think this is a better formula for winter because it isn't as light as the blue one. Once summer rolls around, I'll probably come back to the Hydrating chapstick.

This picture doesn't do this pretty pink lipstick justice.
Revlon's Pink Pout is my favorite lip color at the moment. It is easy to wear and sits nicely on your lips by itself or paired with a clear lipgloss. I'll post a picture of me wearing it soon so you all can see how it looks on. I've gotten compliments the two times I've worn it recently, and that's always nice. (They were from Lydia and my mom, but that doesn't matter. A compliment is a compliment, am I right?) This also brings me one step closer to perfecting my Miley Cyrus in LOL makeup look, and that is a big deal.

I hope you all have enjoyed this mass product review post and have found something you want to add to your collection. See you soon!

Sunday Post

Hello and happy Sunday, friends! God blessed me in a surprising way today, and I hope that maybe you can say the same thing. After sending Lydia, her friend Levi, and Megan on their way back to Chattanooga, I went to the nursing home where some men from my congregation were leading worship, and I got to sing and meet with some of the residents there. They were all so kind and friendly, and I left smiling because it was so uplifting.

I wear a lot of dark colors in the winter, but it was pretty warm earlier today, and despite the overcast weather, I decided to dress sunny. Was that lame to say? Probably. Anyway, sometimes I like to dress cheery on cloudy days to lift my spirits. It works, ya'll.

I got this shirt from Goodwill thinking, "If I don't like how it fits, I can just use the pretty fabric." I don't know why I thought that because I don't sew. Turns out, I loved how the shirt fit, so I didn't have to test out my sewing skills.

Pants: Forever 21
Shoes: Goodwill
(Lydia found them, but they didn't fit her. There is still slight bitterness to this day.)
Lipstick: Black Cherry from Revlon.
It's purple with red undertones. I put a foundation base on my lips first to make the color more vibrant. It looks nice, but it's not a matte, so it doesn't stay put as well.

My spring break is next week, and it's going to be a real party. Everyone have a great week, whether you're on break or not!
